Project Details

The Residential Project was an architectural visualization project completed for Jimmy Division on October 19, 2023. The objective of the project was to transform the client’s architectural drawings into high-quality, realistic visualizations that clearly present the design and surroundings of the residential property.

The client provided floor plans and elevation designs, which were used as the foundation for creating the full 3D model. The main house was carefully modeled based on the architectural drawings, while the surrounding houses were designed in a simplified form as requested by the client to represent the neighborhood context.

To create a believable environment, the client also provided reference images and Google Maps visuals of the real location. These references helped recreate the surrounding environment and layout to make the final visualization more accurate and visually engaging.

The modeling work was completed using 3ds Max, and the final visualization was produced using D5 Render. Lighting, materials, and scene composition were carefully adjusted according to the project’s color palette to achieve a clean, balanced, and visually appealing result. High-quality PBR materials were used to enhance realism and surface detail.

After completing the scene setup and environment design, the final renders were produced in 4K resolution to ensure sharp and professional presentation quality.

The project was delivered successfully through Havocloft, providing the client with realistic visuals that effectively communicate the architectural design.

Overview & Challenge

One of the main challenges in this project was recreating the surrounding environment while keeping the focus on the main residential building. The neighboring houses needed to be modeled in a simplified way so they would support the scene without distracting from the main design.

Another challenge was accurately representing the real environment using Google Maps references and client-provided images. Careful scene composition and environment placement were required to ensure the surroundings looked natural and believable.

Achieving realistic lighting and material balance was also an important part of the process. The scene needed to look bright, clean, and visually appealing while maintaining realistic shadows, reflections, and textures. By carefully adjusting the lighting setup and applying PBR materials, the final result achieved a natural and high-quality appearance.
