Client Brief & Overview
The client needed a true to life apartment walkthrough for buyers who could not visit the site. We started from the supplied floor plans, modeled every unit zone in 3ds Max, and collaborated with the interior designer on color palettes and finish options that reflected the target buyer profile. After export to Unreal Engine, we configured interactive materials, lighting, and post processing to preserve realism while maintaining smooth headset performance.
The Challenge
The biggest challenge was delivering premium visual quality on standalone VR hardware. Meta Quest 3 has strict performance limits, so heavy geometry, high resolution textures, and complex shaders can quickly cause frame drops and discomfort. At the same time, the client still needed marble, wood, and fabric finishes to feel upscale and close to final construction intent.
The Solution
We optimized assets for VR by reducing draw calls, creating LODs, baking selected lighting data, and tuning material complexity without losing design fidelity. We also built intuitive interactions for finish switching and guided navigation so buyers could compare options easily. The result was a stable, immersive Meta Quest 3 experience that helped the client explain design choices faster and move prospects from curiosity to reservation with greater confidence.
